No other data provider could match Ecopia’s accuracy or efficiency in feature extraction, and we are looking forward to equitably enhancing our community’s stormwater program with the addition of this foundational data.

Ecopia’s ability to efficiently extract all land cover features, whether manmade or natural, enables us to develop flood models that represent reality. The planimetric level detail map was critical for our stormwater engineering consultants to help support the development of our integrated flood model.

By partnering with Ecopia to map over 24,000 miles of sidewalks and crosswalks, we were able to identify gaps and strategically plan for infrastructure - especially for residents without adequate sidewalk access.

With more accurate foundational location data, Collier County’s emergency responders will be able to arrive at the exact location of a distressed caller, saving precious time and lives.

Ecopia’s data helps us foster livable communities and promote social equity. Without having to manually digitize the thousands of features needed for our various projects, our member jurisdictions can instead focus on building a sense of community in San Bernardino County through pedestrian infrastructure.

Ecopia’s ability to create a high-accuracy product was critical, but their ability to maintain the dataset is what really differentiates them from our previous efforts. DWSD is able to rely on the interpretation not changing year over year and thereby minimizes staff resources to integrate the product into our workflow. This directly translates into a cost and time savings.

Having Ecopia’s data was very helpful in cutting down the extensive time and labor needed to document all of the County’s roadway assets. Previously this work would have required teams of manual annotators and staff in the field to verify results. Ecopia has been an important asset in supporting our active transportation and Vision Zero plans.‍

The partnership with Ecopia empowers us with an unprecedented level of detail and accuracy about northeastern Illinois. These comprehensive and up-to-date views of transportation and land cover will help CMAP and local decision makers drive innovation and develop projects that serve our region’s 8.5 million residents.

The development of a high definition map of Toronto is a key milestone in our Autonomous Vehicle Tactical Plan, and Ecopia’s efforts will help drive us towards that future.
